Security for outdoor use
Should you desire to further protect your SECACAM 5000 Explorer, this metal housing is the ideal choice. The space between the side panels and the camera acts as a buffer to improve impact resistance. This makes the camera better at withstanding minor drops or direct force.
Splash water, dust and dirt are also kept away better from the camera. Rainwater can run off optimally through the side slots and will therefore not accumulate. Thus, the housing is ideal for outdoor use.
The green textured surface is reminiscent of a spotted camouflage pattern and makes it easy to hide the camera in natural environments.
Well thought-out design
Because the metal housing has a recess for the lens, infrared sensor and black LED panel, recording quality is not compromised. Your SECACAM 5000 Explorer can thus deliver images and video in the usual high quality while being protected.
The metal housing also has an opening at the top through which you can pass the antenna of the mobile version of the Explorer. Unscrewing the antenna to insert the camera into the metal housing is therefore not necessary.
A magnet integrated into the locking element ensures that the housing closes reliably and completely.
Attachment
You can attach the metal case in a variety of ways. There is a 1/4-inch threaded hole on the back, so it can be mounted to trees or other objects with tripod mounts. There are eyelets on the back to secure the housing with a cable lock. Alternatively, the metal housing can be screwed directly into appropriate surfaces using a suitable standard threaded screw.
For even more protection for your SECACAM and recordings, the metal housing can be locked with a padlock (sold separately)
